This online course is for anyone who wants to enhance the joy of their meditation experience. Meditators, students and teachers of all levels of experience and from all traditions are invited!

The 21 Stages of Meditation is a Journey to the Self along the meditative path to realization. Meditation is both a skill and an experience. It has stages, just as a flower grows from seed to sprout to leaves to bloom.

The Stages of Meditation’ are grouped into three ‘journeys’. They are: Experience & Crystallize the Self, Express and Distill the Self and Transcend and Sublimate the Self. Each journey lasts one weekend. Each weekend takes you through seven stages of deep meditation. Each stage systematically confronts your mind’s patterns and limitations, awakens a part of you and develops new skills to clear your way towards realization.

This course is for anyone who wants to enhance the joy of their meditation experience. Meditators from all traditions are invited! You’ll clear your mind, sharpen your consciousness and strengthen your nervous system. So, mark your calendar and be sure to join us!

Yoga + Mobility for Teachers

For ALL Yoga Teachers
The concept of ‘mobility’ is a hot topic in the movement world these days.

Yoga + Mobility classes are popping up in studios and long-time students of yoga are seeking a more functional and creative approach to their classes.

But what exactly is ‘mobility’ and how can you, as a yoga teacher, incorporate it into your classes?

In this 2-day training we’ll:

1. understand the differences between flexibility, mobility and functional mobility and the general underlying principles of functional mobility training along with an overview of stretch physiology;

2. learn how to incorporate aspects of mobility into a yoga class while maintaining the integrity of the yoga practice; and

3. explore how to use aspects of mobility training to help students build capacity for specific, challenging asana.

This training will benefit all teachers of asana from the most seasoned to new graduates.

Mind & Meditation
Your mind has a unique, energetic frequency that runs parallel to your individual place in history’s time-line. As a soul who decided to take human form, both dense and luminous in nature, you are bound to the subtle and radical changes in the earth’s rhythms as well. There is only one sanctuary from the chaotic changes we are now experiencing– your own mind.

Mind & Meditation is intended to illuminate the relationship between you and your mind. Through this powerful experience, you will explore how the mind works in relationship to yourself and others. You will begin to integrate fundamental concepts about the nature and dynamics of the mind into your life. Perhaps most important of all, you will deepen your meditative practice.

The type of relationship we create with our mind is essential to our ability to act effectively, to recognize our true nature and to align with our Divine Purpose. The technology presented in Mind & Meditation addresses the rapid shifts we are experiencing today, individually and as a collective.

Introduction to Sanskrit
Sanskrit is a classical language of India. It literally means “perfection”. It is the language of ancient sages and Sanskrit words are used as mantras, as their sounds when properly pronounced are suiting and transformative.
This introductory course, aims to familiarize students with some basic concepts of Sanskrit which will help them in their study of sacred essential texts.

Sanskrit is a phonetical language; since the words are pronounced according to their spellings it makes them easy to read and pronounce.

The knowledge of Sanskrit is very helpful for anyone who is interested in exploring the original texts relating to the Indian traditional knowledge systems.

The Sanskrit sounds are meditative. To read, write or sing in Sanskrit is an ancient practice to help us awaken to our essential nature.

No prior knowledge of Sanskrit is required to take the course.

Yoga for Seniors & Healthy Aging Training
For ALL Yoga Teachers and Students!

In 2017, Canada’s Seniors officially out numbered children. With no signs of this trend lessening any time soon, learning to teach yoga to our Seniors safely and mindfully is becoming an increasingly important skill in the yoga teaching world. Understanding the common physical and mental issues and having the qualifications to teach yoga to this large segment of our population will provide yoga teachers and care givers with a unique and very rewarding way to serve our communities.

In the training we will address common physical issues that will need accommodation in class, for example: osteoporosis, arthritis, COPD or CAD. Learning to create skillful modifications for older students, some coming to yoga for the first time, will allow for teachers and care givers to offer the gifts of yoga with confidence. Adapting to the needs in the room will allow for a strong, challenging, but equally relaxed and meditative practice.

Yoga Nidra Teacher Training

Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, is a type of meditation based on the ancient yogic anatomy of the Koshas, the 5 subtle bodies. Sometimes described as a long savasana, it is actually a combination of deep body relaxation and mental awareness.
Yoga Nidra is a quiet journey inward to stillness that transforms and releases old habits, fatigue, worry, and stress. Yoga Nidra is a technique for physical rejuvenation, mental relaxation, spiritual growth, and overall wellness.

This training is for those who would like to offer students the opportunity to experience a systematic method of conscious relaxation. Yoga Nidra has been found to be effective in treating many of the physical symptoms of stress, including insomnia, anxiety, and depression. It is also helpful in the treatment of PTSD and addictions.
