Practicing Prenatal Yoga can be a powerful tool to prepare for labor and motherhood. Research suggests that Prenatal Yoga has many benefits for pregnant women, such as:
Reduced stress and anxiety
Increased strength, flexibility and endurance of muscles needed for childbirth
Decreased lower back pain, nausea, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches and shortness of breath
In this 4-week series we will use meditation and practice yoga postures to strengthen and relax your changing body. We will explore different breath and focus techniques that are supportive for birthing and learn how to modify postures before and after baby arrives.
Each session ends with a well-deserved relaxation, and is appropriate for new and experienced Yoga students.
This series is an opportunity to connect with your body, baby and other pregnant women. As well as, to prepare for the challenges of being a new parent.
