Start with peace and the rest will fall into place...and likely in better ways than you could have ever imagined! When COVID hit and we were mandated to close, I went home and sat on my couch for a deep think! What will we do? How will we continue to support the students, teachers and staff? The answer - we go online and we go online right now! In less than 3 days from closure we were offering FREE live stream classes to the community and to the world! Teachers were paid and we were able to retain some staff. We kept the FREE classes going for 5 weeks! Hundreds joined in daily from around the world. Then the next reality sunk in that we are in...

Keeping it cozy & safe!

We’re keeping it cozy and safe in our 45 Eccles Street space while our Gladstone Ave. Centre is being renovated. Our Online Live Stream and In Person classes continue 7 days a week with 45+ classes for you to choose from. In Person attendance is a maximum of 6-7 participants with ample social distancing. Note: Starting on Monday, October 5, our 4 pm classes are moving to a 4:30 pm start time. Here are our In Person Class procedures at 45 Eccles Street: When you arrive you will be asked a few health check questions by our Front Desk Staff.Leave your footwear in the entrance and you will then be directed to hand sanitizer and our designated mat spaces that are spaced for ample social distancing.All props (blocks, vinyl bolsters, blankets and cushions) provided have been sanitized. You are most welcome to bring your own!After class leave any props used at your practice space for us to sanitize and rotate for fresh props...

Our NEW hOMe!

Where is our new hOMe? Many have been wondering. We've had tonnes of emails and social media questions about it and I've even heard there was a bet or 2 going! Drum roll please... Our new location is 950 Gladstone Avenue! We are thrilled and trust you will love it too! The location is central, close to the newest LRT, has free 3 hour street parking and designated parking for our use. We are easy walking distance to the restaurants on Preston Street and the shops and cafes we adore on Wellington Street. Our new hOMe was built in the late 1800's as a wholesale hardware warehouse. Built on a timber frame with post and beam construction, it is one of the only buildings of its kind remaining in Ottawa. We will have 3 studio rooms; Body, Mind and Soul. Stage 3 Re-Opening

Greetings, It's been a long wait and we are deeply grateful for all of the support we have received over the past 4 months that has allowed for us to continue to serve the Ottawa community and beyond. We’re excited to share that we are re-opening for In Person Classes on Saturday, August 1. Attendance at our In Person classes will follow our current Virtual Class Schedule until we move into our new hOMe! In Person classes will be held at our temporary location at 45 Eccles Street, Ottawa, Ontario. The safety and health of our staff, teachers and students is very important to us. We are taking the time between now and August 1st to observe how our city responds to the re-openings and so we can be fully prepared with the necessary protocols in place. We’re Moving!

Greetings! We're moving! COVID is bringing many changes and one of those changes is that we have found the most amazing new location for PranaShanti Yoga Centre and yes, we will still be in the 'hood. It's a dream location for yoga, workshops, courses and trainings! During COVID our lease came to an end. While we have very much enjoyed our time on Armstrong Street, it became clear during COVID that we need to fully embrace the change that this time has created. Shortly after making the decision to relocate the perfect new space presented itself! With a fabulous designer and construction team, we are well into creating a beautiful new PranaShanti that will be ready for us soon. Our new space will continue to offer multi studio rooms and wellness services but we will be incorporating many of the lessons learned from 12 years plus new ones from COVID. Re-Opening of Massage Therapy

New Procedures for COVID-19 We are happy to announce that Registered Massage Therapy resumes starting Monday, June 15! This is a gradual re-opening with a phased approach accepting appointments first for the clients that have chronic pain or had interrupted treatment plans. If you are booking online and you don't see the availability you are looking for please contact us. We are keeping a waiting list and may be able to open up additional time slots. Please note the following points on how we will be addressing appointments: All Massage Therapists will be wearing disposable surgical masks. Clients are requested to bring a mask (reusable cloth masks are fine). We ask that you arrive alone and wait outside the Centre until you are asked to enter. Community connection has and will always be an important part of PranaShanti Yoga Centre's vision and mission. With the government mandated temporary closure of PranaShanti Yoga Centre on March 17, we quickly pivoted and on March 19 launched FREE Online Classes as our way to be of service to the community when so many faced uncertainty from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. We have now offered 1 month of FREE Online Yoga that has reached hundreds of people around the world everyday. We’ve had participants from as far as Egypt, New Zealand, Australia, Roatan, Bali, the UK, France, Italy, Germany, all across Canada and the US! We've received daily email and social media posts on how the yoga classes are a vital support to so many in this challenge time.
