Everyone would like to age with as much strength and grace as possible. Now, research has confirmed what many yoga practitioners have known for a long time: yoga practice can have a remarkable impact on your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being as you grow older.
 
In this weekend workshop you’ll learn about how yoga can improve five key components of healthy aging: stress management, strength, flexibility, agility, and balance.
 
You’ll leave with effective tools to target, adapt, and customize your yoga practice to meet your individual needs and concerns, no matter what your starting point.
 
If you’re a yoga teacher, this workshop will provide you with many practices and perspectives – including postures, breathwork, philosophy, and meditation – to support your students.

Program Outline

Come learn about:
 
  • How and why yoga supports healthy aging
  • Essential yoga poses and sequences for strength, flexibility, balance, and agility
  • The most relevant and inspiring perspectives of yoga philosophy for fostering emotional and spiritual well-being
  • Yoga for managing stress, maintaining brain health, and cultivating equanimity
  • How to adapt and customize your yoga practice to meet your individual needs and concerns
  • How to create long-term balance in your yoga practice
  • Open to students of all levels and to yoga teachers of all styles and levels of experience. Sessions can be taken individually or as a full 12-hour workshop.
Expect a lively blend of lecture, practice, self-reflection, and group discussion.

  • Friday 6 pm – 9 pm:  Yoga for Stress Management
  • Saturday 9 am- 12 pm: Yoga for Building Strength
  • Saturday 1 pm – 4 pm: Yoga for Cultivating Flexibility
  • Sunday 9 am – 12 pm: Yoga for Improving Agility and Balance
Attend the full weekend or join in for individual sessions!

Cost

Full Weekend: SAVE $45.00 and register before September 30 for $250.00 per person. $295.00 per person thereafter.
 
Individual Sessions: $90.00 per session (3 hours).

Notes

Open to yoga practitioners and teachers of all disciplines and levels of experience.
 
For 200 hour certified Yoga Teachers the 12 hour option provides CEUs with Yoga Alliance.
