Temporary Closure of PranaShanti Yoga Centre due to COVID-19 effective March 16, 2020.
Email March 15, 2020: COVID-19 – Temporary Closure of PranaShanti Yoga Centre
Greetings!
Following, the announcement this afternoon, by Dr. Etches, Ottawa’s Chief Medical Officer, it is with great sadness that we temporarily close PranaShanti Yoga Centre. While we have taken every measure and precaution to provide a safe space, we feel the best option to keep you, our Staff, Teachers, Wellness Providers and the Ottawa community healthy, is for us to close.
Over the coming days we will place all memberships on hold for the closure period and we will extend Annual Unlimited Packages for the same duration as the closure. We will do this for each account so there is nothing for you to do. Our regular Class Packages do not expire so no action is required. Wellness Appointments will be cancelled and credited to your PranaShanti account.
Class Series that are in progress will be date extended and upcoming Workshops will be re-scheduled. Teacher Trainings will either continue virtually/online or will be rescheduled. We will review each of these offerings and the participants signed up will be notified of the changes.
Our goal is to re-open the Centre as soon as we are given the authority to do so. We will continue to monitor and follow the recommendations of the health officials. We will keep you updated by email and social media.
Thank you for your support and dedication during this very difficult time. Our community is very important to us and we are blessed by each and every person that comes through our doors. Although we may be temporarily closed you are all in our hearts and we wish everyone good health during this time.
We trust that we will come through this together, as a community, and that practice of yoga and meditation will give us the strength to manage this challenge with grace.
Be well,
Devinder Kaur
& the PranaShanti Team

Email March 13, 2020: COVID-19, an update on our actions at PranaShanti because your health is important to us!
Greetings!
The health of our community is always important to us. In consideration of concerns around the COVID-19 virus, we want to share with you that we are, and always have been, committed to providing clean and healthy spaces for you.
While the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) has assessed the public health risk associated as low, we continue to monitor it along with other Canadian and Ontario government health websites for their latest information. We will adjust our procedures based on their recommendations.
Throughout the Centre we have increased our frequency of cleaning and disinfection, using a product called Benefect, and we are paying extra attention to high touch areas as an added precaution.
All Teachers will wash their hands before and after each class. We ask you to do the same.
Use the consent cards in the Studio Rooms, if you do not want to be touched, please leave the card turned to ‘No’ and the Teachers will not touch you.
If you have a fever, a cough, or any symptoms of illness, we ask you to be mindful of others and stay home.
We are stronger together so let’s work to keep our community healthy!
Be well,
Devinder Kaur
& the PranaShanti Team
