Re-Opening of Massage Therapy

New Procedures for COVID-19 We are happy to announce that Registered Massage Therapy resumes starting Monday, June 15! This is a gradual re-opening with a phased approach accepting appointments first for the clients that have chronic pain or had interrupted treatment plans. If you are booking online and you don't see the availability you are looking for please contact us. We are keeping a waiting list and may be able to open up additional time slots. Please note the following points on how we will be addressing appointments: All Massage Therapists will be wearing disposable surgical masks. Clients are requested to bring a mask (reusable cloth masks are fine). We ask that you arrive alone and wait outside the Centre until you are asked to enter. If there are any forms to be completed these will be emailed to you before your appointment. Temporary Closure of PranaShanti Yoga Centre due to COVID-19 effective March 16, 2020. Email March 15, 2020: COVID-19 - Temporary Closure of PranaShanti Yoga Centre Greetings! Following, the announcement this afternoon, by Dr. Etches, Ottawa's Chief Medical Officer, it is with great sadness that we temporarily close PranaShanti Yoga Centre. While we have taken every measure and precaution to provide a safe space, we feel the best option to keep you, our Staff, Teachers, Wellness Providers and the Ottawa community healthy, is for us to close. Over the coming days we will place all memberships on hold for the closure period and we will extend Annual Unlimited Packages for the same duration as the closure. We will do this for each account so there is nothing for you to do. Our regular Class Packages do not expire so no action is required. Have you seen these cards around the Centre? Place this card on the edge of your mat so the Teacher knows if it's okay to give you hands-on adjustments. One side of the card says "Yes, please" for assists, and the other side says "No, thank you." While hands-on adjustments can be a good way for a teacher to help students access alignment, they can also feel intrusive to those who are injured, have experienced trauma, or simply don’t like being touched. Annual Winter Solstice Celebration 2019

Our Annual Winter Solstice Celebration is Friday, December 20! Midwinter's day has been an important time for celebration throughout the ages. On this shortest day of the year, the sun is at its lowest and weakest, a pivot point from which the light will grow stronger and brighter. This is the turning point of the year. To celebrate this sacred time we will walk an incredible light-filled Labyrinth in the Spirit Room! The labyrinth is a metaphor for what is sacred in our lives. When we walk the path inward, we carry our burdens with us. When we meditate or pray in the center, we ask for grace and understanding. When we walk the path outward, we are lighter, more joyful and ready yet again to take on life's challenges.
