For ALL Yoga Teachers!
Now that you’ve completed your 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training — or have developed a consistent and dedicated personal practice — it is time to deepen your understanding of asana beyond the external shape of the pose.
This immersive 6-hour course is designed for yoga teachers and experienced students who are ready to slow down, refine their awareness, and explore postures through a more intelligent and embodied lens.
Together, we will examine the subtle layers of practice that create greater depth, clarity, stability, and confidence both on the mat and in your teaching.
Program Outline
In this course, we will explore:
Anatomical Cueing & Functional Awareness
Expand upon the foundational anatomy learned in your 200-Hour Training by exploring muscle actions, joint stability, and functional alignment within postures. Learn how thoughtful anatomical cueing can create safer, more effective, and more empowering experiences for students.
Breath as a Pathway Into the Pose
Move beyond the physical expression of asana and discover how breath awareness transforms the internal experience of a posture. Explore how pranayama and breath-focused attention can create depth, steadiness, and presence within practice.
Slowing Down the Practice
“Fast is just fast.” Through longer holds and mindful transitions, we will create space to observe, feel, and refine alignment patterns within the body. Slowing down allows for deeper exploration, nervous system awareness, and meaningful integration.
The Ladder Flow Method
Learn how to build postures progressively and intelligently by establishing a strong foundation before introducing more complex variations. This method supports accessibility, confidence, and sustainable progression for practitioners of all levels.
Intelligent Use of Props
Props are not only for beginners — they are powerful tools for awareness, support, resistance, stability, and deeper understanding. Explore how blocks, straps, blankets, bolsters, and the wall can help practitioners access greater clarity and embodiment within postures.
This course will include:
- Lecture and discussion
- Guided experiential practice
- Partner and self-exploration
- Practical teaching applications
- Posture breakdown and analysis
By the end of this course, you will gain:
- Greater confidence in teaching and practicing asana
- Enhanced anatomical understanding
