Prenatal Yoga

Practicing Prenatal Yoga can be a powerful tool to prepare for labor and motherhood!
Research suggests that Prenatal Yoga has many benefits for pregnant women, such as:
  • Improved sleep
  • Reduced stress and anxiety
  • Increased strength, flexibility and endurance of muscles needed for childbirth
  • Decreased lower back pain, nausea, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches and shortness of breath
In these sessions we will use meditation and practice yoga postures to strengthen and relax your changing body. We will explore different breath and focus techniques that are supportive for birthing and learn how to modify postures before and after baby arrives.
Each session ends with a well-deserved relaxation, and is appropriate for new and experienced Yoga students.  This is an opportunity to connect with your body, baby and other pregnant women. As well as, to prepare for the challenges of being a new parent.

Parent & Baby Yoga

Gently stretch, strengthen and relax areas of the body affected by parenthood, meet other parents & bond with your baby using songs, physical movements and simple infant massage all while in our poses!

We cover diastasis recti & pelvic floor function as well as proper sitting & standing posture plus lifting and carrying baby.  Parent & Baby Yoga is for all levels and stages of the postpartum period and open to all parents and caregivers.

No previous yoga experience is required. Recommended for babies aged 6 weeks to beginning to crawl.

Children’s Yoga

Through creative play, children’s yoga is proven to improve self-esteem, classroom behaviors, concentration, emotional balance, and the ability to self-soothe. Children will be introduced to yoga postures and simple breathing techniques.

Parents are welcome to attend and join in on the fun or drop off your child! If parents are attending, one adult per child please. For children ages 3 to 8 years old.

This class is offered monthly throughout the year with a special and inspiring theme each session.

Registration and payment in advanced is required. Please bring a yoga mat for each participant or rental mats are available at the Front Desk for $2.00 each. Keep your receipt for the Child Fitness Tax Credit.

Family Yoga

A beautiful class for the whole family!

Child centered and created for fun, this playful class builds and nurtures family connection through yoga stories, games, movement, breath, laughter, relaxation and mindfulness activities. Time to unplug and strengthen family bonds.

Maximum of 2 adults and 2 children, ages 3 – 12 years old.

Registration and payment in advanced is required. Please bring a yoga mat for each participant or rental mats are available at the Front Desk for $2.00 each. Keep your receipt for the Child Fitness Tax Credit.

Kids Yoga Summer Camp

Each summer we host Kids Yoga Summer Camps!  Come join us for a fun-filled week of yoga!

With an equal balance of play and rest, kids will learn how to slow down, breathe, and feel joyful! The children will gain a better awareness of their bodies through yoga poses which focus on balance, strength and acceptance. They will also make great friends and have fun creating and expressing though arts and crafts, songs and yoga games! Kids will experience the benefits of yoga in a positive and non-competitive atmosphere.

Activities include:

  • Fun daily yoga practice!
  • Yoga games
  • Expression through arts & crafts
  • Stories and songs
  • Partner yoga poses

What we will learn:

  • Yoga poses (asanas)
  • Breathing and concentration techniques
  • Relaxation and guided visualizations
  • Connection, self-discovery, acceptance, trust
  • Healthy food choices

No previous yoga experience is necessary!

2 Camps are offered each summer, the first is for ages 4-8 years old and the second is for ages 6-11 years old.
