For Catherine, yoga is moving meditation that offers a pathway to self-knowledge and finding balance in mind and body, strength and flexibility, ease and effort. Although yoga is a personal, individual practice, it also has a strong component of connectivity and community. Catherine believes yoga is not a rigid discipline; there is a starting point and style of yoga for everybody.
Catherine’s teaching style emphasizes mindfulness, body and breath awareness, and incorporating yogic principles into the postures and practice. Her hope is that by sharing her love of yoga her students are able to breathe well, move well, and find more ease and balance in their lives, both on and off the mat.
