PranaShanti Yoga Centre is delighted to host an evening of Kundalini Yoga and sacred chanting with Nirinjan Kaur (vocals and harmonium) and Matthew Schoening (electric cello) accompaniment and opening set.

Our evening begins with a sacred sound and yoga/meditation workshop from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Following a 30 minute intermission we will begin the concert at 7:30 pm.

About Nirinjan Kaur:
Nirinjan Kaur Khalsa grew up with sacred music and Naad Yoga as a natural part of her life. This has been developed in study with classical Indian Master Ustaad Narinder Singh Sandhu in India. She is a Kundalini Yoga Teacher and graduate of Miri Piri Academy in Amritsar, India. She has a deep understanding of the Shabd Guru, and the sacred Naad, and this is reflected powerfully in her voice and her rendition of these ancient sacred mantras.
About Matthew Schoening
Award-winning touring artist and composer Matthew Schoening offers original music that has been described as “Inspirational”, “Devotional”, “Heart-Opening”, “Emotional”, “Spiritual”, and “Mesmerizing”. You may have seen Matthew support and perform with Snatam Kaur, Deva Premal and Miten, Nirinjan Kaur, Todd Boston, and others. For his solo project, Matthew is a one-man show with an epic sound, featuring one single instrument – Electric Cello. His unique technique of live looping has been described as “Masterful”, as he is able to recreate a full-spectrum of intricate musical compositions by recording himself live in front of you, repeating the live recording instantly, and continuing this process until you experience the energy of an entire symphony on stage. With each composition, your heart will melt as you are taken on a soulful journey through the universe and back.
