Discover Your Movement Alchemy with Steffi Retzlaff
April 13 -15, 2018

For ALL Yoga Teachers and Students!

Join Steffi for a weekend of learning and conscious practice!

This 15-hour course is designed for prospective or current yoga teachers, curious students, or anyone looking to deepen their approach to understanding movement.

This weekend is about expanding our capacity to feel good in our own body while learning how to enhance this feeling both on and off the mat. It’s an exploration into how your body wants to move becoming open and honest with yourself, diving into areas of tension and resistance.

Together we will explore “The Body’s Way” of movement. Designed to help you understand your movement choices in relation to your specific body’s function and composition. This way of movement allows you to (re-)discover the joy of movement, healthy alignment and stillness.

We will use a variety of holistic movement practices such as Yoga, Nia, meditation and more!

Your Teacher – Steffi Retzlaff

Steffi’s strong, yet playful teaching style and explorations into movement and breath coupled with a good sense of humour is appreciated by beginners as well as students who are in for a challenge or two.

Her classes are inspired by many teachers and types of yoga and by her background in dance. Over the many years of teaching dance as well as teaching in an academic setting, Steffi has become very adept at sensing the energy in the room and to flow with it. She also knows that as we flow through life we find ourselves sometimes in very habitual patterns. And this happens in our yoga practice as well. We get very rigid and set in our ways. In her classes Steffi invites her students to embrace the change from the way they might have practiced yoga and to allow for dynamic ease.

The Joy of Movement has always been in the centre of Steffi’s practice. She has practiced yoga since 2006 and the Ashtanga style was a perfect fit back then. Over the years Steffi has come to appreciate many more styles such as Vinyasa/Hatha Flow, Hatha, Hot, Power, Yin, and Kundalini. Yoga, dance, meditation and breath work have helped her to work through back injuries from two accidents as well as academic burn-out.
