About our retreat:
In the heart of the Sabine hills amidst olive groves and a rolling landscape, lies a peaceful haven of repose. With its spectacular views and magical setting, In Sabina lies in the midst of the Italian countryside less than an hour from Rome. The grounds are lush and abundant with a natural spring, gardens, pond, and swimming pool. The property is peaceful, rustic and ideal for spiritual practice and restorative vacation.
This retreat is the perfect blend of engaging activity and peacefulness. Every day will include optional yoga classes of your choice with Devinder or Kathryn, including Kundalini, Hatha, and Restorative/Yin practices. All meals are provided onsite by our private chef who will turn the garden’s abundant produce into spectacular vegetarian meals. One day will be a private wine tour to the vineyard covered hills with our guest sommelier, Andrew Rastapkevicius, whose expertise will enchant even the most knowledgeable oenophile. Most days will include an optional offsite activity including olive oil tastings, cooking classes, village tours, and a visit to the healing waters of the nearby sulphur springs.
Our retreat is during olive harvest season, and though not known on the international market, the Sabine hills offer one of the most delicious and pure olive oil experiences in Italy.
There are spaces indoors and out for yoga and meditation, and the property is beautifully designed to reflect the natural environment. In Sabina is a unique place to recharge and immerse yourself in nature! The grounds include several spaces for solitary meditation, reading, and relaxation.
Two lovingly restored 17th-century stone buildings overlook an undulating panorama of olive groves and fruit trees. There are three terraces where you can relax and watch the stunning sunsets. A magnificent yoga platform sits in the valley, surrounded by verdant nature and wildlife as it overlooks a natural spring and lily pond.
Guest rooms are designed in a warm, natural style, a combination of old and new that’s comfortable and calm, and each guest room is unique and named for it’s corresponding colour.

Location:
The area is rich in sites of historic and natural beauty. There are walks and optional excursions to hot sulphur springs, medieval sites, local festivals in surrounding villages and trips to Rome and Umbria. Cities and towns within easy reach of In Sabina include Rome (45 minutes), Spoleto and Orvieto (1 hour), Siena and Assisi (2 hours).
Cost and Registration:
$1,899.00 per person, double occupancy and includes:
- 6-day 7-night accommodation in a double-occupancy room (2 people per room, shared bed for couples or separate beds for 2 people sharing)
- Choice of Hatha and Kundalini yoga classes each day, including sunrise and sunset practices, yoga nidra, mindfulness meditations and more
- Breakfast and lunch daily and 5 evening meals, all lovingly prepared with produce from the property
- Does not include airfare, airport transfer, travel insurance, alcoholic beverages, tips and gratuities
A deposit of $500.00 is required to secure your space. Full payment is required by September 17th, 2015.

Flights and Airport Transfer:
Arrival time at the house at In Sabina is between 4:00 pm and 9:00 pm. As there is no public transport direct to In Sabina, a minibus or taxi from the airport (Fiumicino – Leonardo de Vinci Airport, or Ciampino) or nearest train station (Stimigliano) will be arranged for us once flight arrival and departure times are determined. The drive to In Sabina from Fiumicino, Rome is less than one hour. For our return, departure from In Sabina is at 10 am with shuttle to the airport or you may opt to extend your stay.

Refunds (minus a $300 Administration Fee) are available up to 30 days before trip departure date. No refunds or credits will be provided after that time. You may arrange for another person to take your place. Private rooms can be accommodated for an additional fee and must be arranged in advance. Please contact us for private room rates.
