Full Moon Meditation for Clearing & Balance

    Tuesday, July 11th, 5:45pm - 7:15pm
Full Moon Meditation for Clearing & Balance

The full moon is a special time, especially for those who are following a yogic path, because it is an optimum time for clearing and balancing our mind and our energy.

The moon is deeply and intimately connected with our mind and our thoughts. Meditation can help to cleanse feelings of agitation, and can even provide us with a great opportunity to let go of the mental or emotional baggage that has been weighing us down. Meditating at the full moon also help us to unleash our creativity, whether we are focused on specific creative projects or we need new ways of thinking about the problems and issues we are facing. This practice can help us to release old, stuck, energy that no longer serves us.

During the class, we will clear our mind and balance our body’s chakras (energy centers) through a variety of Kundalini Yoga practices including breath work (pranayam), meditation, visualization, setting intentions, and a restorative sound bath with the symphonic Gong.

Cost: PranaShanti Class Card or Drop-in Fee.

    X

New Moon Meditation for Prosperity & Abundance

    Thursday, July 20th, 5:45pm - 7:15pm
New Moon Meditation for Prosperity & Abundance

"Prosperity is a state produced immediately by the mind. When the sun comes out of the clouds, everything is lit. When the mind comes out of duality, prosperity is there."- Yogi Bhajan

Meditating at the time of the New Moon intensifies our intentions and makes it an ideal time to focus on prosperity (personal and business) and abundance using the energy of the New Moon combined with Kundalini Yoga kriyas and meditations.

Prosperity and abundance come in many forms.  When one’s internal attitude is out of alignment, it doesn’t matter what that person has or doesn’t have in the material world.  When we connect with an internal attitude of prosperity, we become like a magnet. The abundance of the universe flows to us.

Our class includes breath work (pranayam), a short yoga set (kriya) for awareness, a prosperity meditation followed by a deep relaxation (savasana) in the celestial sounds and vibrations of two Gongs.

Cost: PranaShanti Class Card or Drop-in Fee.

  • Master Class Weekend - Bryan Kest
    X

Master Class Weekend - Bryan Kest

    Friday, July 28th, 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Master Class Weekend - Bryan Kest

Bryan Kest has been practicing yoga since 1979 and has been teaching since 1985. He developed his unique, distinctive style of yoga, Original Power Yoga, in 1979. Over the years, this style, an amazing workout for the body, mind and spirit, has made him a well-known, popular teacher across the United States and around the world.

    Weekend Outline:

    Orientation/Power Yoga Class - Friday, July 28, 7 pm – 9 pm

This class is part lecture, part asana practice. Bryan starts by explaining the objective of Power Yoga, as well as the principles of the practice. We encourage students to attend this class because it is the foundation of the entire weekend.

    Power Yoga Class - Saturday, July 29, 10:30 am – 1 pm

A well rounded flowing asana practice integrating mental practices that enhance everyday living. The class is intended to invigorate your body and help you practice developing a calm, less reactive state of mind with dynamic flowing routines. In a Power Yoga class, you are encouraged to focus on the process and not the end result. This allows ALL levels of yoga practitioners to enjoy and benefit from the class.

Long, Slow and Deep Stretch Class - Saturday, July 29, 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm

The Long, Slow and Deep class has at the very least a few ostensible objectives.

“The first is I wanted to give people a deep and potent alternative to the myriad of Vinyasa and flowing Hatha yoga classes. I wanted people to know that they have a choice. There have been so many days in my life when I just didn’t want to do a salutation or a lunge series or even to be that physically active. Yet, I still had the time and ability to practice as well as the desire for all the pleasing benefits of yoga. I still wanted to maintain my practice. I wanted people to see how utterly potent this kind of practice can be even without focusing on strength, endurance or even acquiring much heat. I also wanted people to experience the benefits of holding poses a little longer, giving these massive areas (hamstrings, groin, hips, shoulders, etc.) more time to release deeper.

This truly is an amazing routine. It’s a paradox. It is by far the most difficult class I teach, yet you don’t really get off your butt the whole class. The challenge here is mostly mental. You are probably going to want to run away from this one, especially in the beginning. Hang in there, be patient and keep breathing, deeply and fluidly. We’ll dim the lights, warm up the room and you enjoy, (at least how it leaves you feeling).”

    Full-On Power Yoga Class - Sunday, July 30, 9:30 am – Noon

An integration of everything covered over the weekend.

Cost: $375.00 per person for the weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday).

The weekend is open to students and teachers of all levels.
