“Treating each other and ourselves with care isn’t a luxury, but an absolute necessity if we’re going to thrive. Resting isn’t an afterthought, but a basic part of being human… Nothing we accomplish in life is totally free of the influence of spirit and community. We do nothing alone.” – Tricia Hersey, author of Rest is Resistance

Do you experience tightness in your upper back and shoulders?
From our hard-to-avoid modern day seated postures to the repetitive motions we do with our arms, it's easy for the upper back and shoulders to tighten up and crunch, leaving us stiff and achy.
Helping our fascia is the key to freeing up these areas of chronic stuck stress, and the MELT Method is designed to do just that. The MELT Method uses soft foam rollers, soft balls, and a series of techniques to rehydrate fascial tissue for easing pain, reducing inflammation, and supporting optimal joint function. This 1-hour workshop will give full focus to our upper back and shoulders, using multiple techniques to rehydrate the fascial tissue in these regions.
Cost: $40.00 per person in-advance, $45.00 per person day of.

About Rachel:
Rachel Lipton is a Level 2 MELT Method® Instructor and Registered Acupuncturist.
“I found MELT during the pandemic while trying to find a cost-effective way to manage my posture-based pain and tension areas. After practicing for two years, and using it while training for a short tri-athalon, I decided I couldn’t keep it to myself any longer! As a registered acupuncturist, I found the overlap between fascial function and the ancient Chinese meridians thrilling. I’m delighted to be sharing this method with the Ottawa community.”

On the longest night of the year, step into the sacredness of the Winter Solstice and nourish your soul with the heart-opening medicine of Cacao.
Revered for centuries by the Mayans and Aztecs as the “gift of the gods,” this beloved plant ally invites us into deeper connection, love, and presence.
Rich in antioxidants that strengthen the body, Cacao also supports emotional and mental well-being by naturally boosting oxytocin, dopamine, and serotonin — the “feel-good” hormones. Spiritually, it opens the heart centre, creating space for Divine connection and inner clarity.
Together, we will consume ceremonial Cacao and embark on a guided shamanic journey into the heart of Haleakalā, believed by many to be the heart chakra of the Earth, resonating with the same frequency as the human heart. Through connection with the elements and the wisdom of animal spirits, we’ll cleanse, renew, and attune ourselves to the heartbeat of Mother Earth, and to the greater web of life.
Gather in community, and allow the portal of Solstice and the loving spirit of Cacao to carry you into the light of a new season.
Cost: $55.00 per person in advance. $60.00 per person day of. Fee includes the ceremony with instruction, guided meditation and a cup of ceremonial grade cacao to drink.
