                          In-Person Seminar

Alleviating anxiety, depression and panic-attacks is one of the most pressing matters in today’s society. Conventional methods like talk-therapy do their part, but it’s often not enough. The Breathe to Heal system has proven highly successful at accelerating emotional healing and getting to the core of symptoms like anxiety, depression and panic attacks.

This seminar has been highly successful for therapists, social and health professionals, coaches, and (yoga) teachers who sought out Max’s method to add to their healing repertoire.

From September 10-14, 2025, Max will host his Breathe to Heal Facilitator in Ottawa ON, Canada. This 5-day seminar training will be held at our host PranaShanti.

                          Program Outline:

                          What will we cover?

This seminar reveals a new understanding of the interconnectedness between anxiety, loneliness, and unreconciled grief. These are all aspects of the central issue which is our relationship with others and with ourselves. By releasing and reconciling our suppressed emotions we enhance our ability to have deeper relationships and reclaim tranquility in our daily lives and body.

The seminar will give you the chance to personally experience and fully understand the impact of the Breathe to Heal system so that you can implement the techniques into your sessions authentically and effectively.

                          • Understanding human connection, vulnerability, isolation, and intimacy.
                          • Experiencing the interconnection of the emotions with the body.
                          • Communication: How to quickly ascertain the cause of client/patient’s primary wound through a line of questioning.
                          • Identifying symptomatic facial expressions, postures, and gestures.

This course provides an anatomy review that includes the key functional movement principles of biomechanics, and major components of the musculoskeletal system. The focus is on exploring  principles of biomechanics, muscle structure, mechanical properties of connective tissues, and the injury repair process to better understand how to tailor a yoga practice to a client’s specific needs. Students will also learn appropriate terminology, and developing the tools to assess their client’s structural alignment and movement patterns.

We will also look at the development of appropriate practices to increase structural integrity, modifications to meet the needs of the individual, and how to predict and minimize risks of asana practice. In addition, attention is given to the development of a language for communicating observations to both clients and medical professionals.

The focus will be on the study of how conscious biomechanical actions influence unconscious physiological responses.

Students will learn about observing musculoskeletal ailments, charting progress using SOAP notes, read and interpret doctor’s reports, synthesize intakes and assessments, and apply customized practices for specific musculoskeletal conditions.

                          Online and/or In-Person Course

Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, is a type of meditation based on the ancient yogic anatomy of the Koshas, the 5 subtle bodies. Sometimes described as a long savasana, it is actually a combination of deep body relaxation and mental awareness.

Yoga Nidra is a quiet journey inward to stillness that transforms and releases old habits, fatigue, worry, and stress. Yoga Nidra is a technique for physical rejuvenation, mental relaxation, spiritual growth, and overall wellness.

                          Course Overview

This training is for those who would like to offer students the opportunity to experience a systematic method of conscious relaxation. Yoga Nidra has been found to be effective in treating many of the physical symptoms of stress, including insomnia, anxiety, and depression. It is also helpful in the treatment of PTSD and addictions.

Connective tissue, scientifically known as fascia, is a tissue that stretches across the expanse of our bodies, encircles our organs, nerves and blood vessels. (It is at the exciting centre of new research on joint health, posture, pain management, and whole-body longevity). By regularly hydrating and caring for our fascia, we improve our joint health and mobility, our posture, we reduce inflammation, and help regulate our autonomic nervous system.

                          About Rachel:

Rachel Lipton is a Level 2 MELT Method® Instructor and Registered Acupuncturist.

“I found MELT during the pandemic while trying to find a cost-effective way to manage my posture-based pain and tension areas. After practicing for two years, and using it while training for a short tri-athalon, I decided I couldn’t keep it to myself any longer! As a registered acupuncturist, I found the overlap between fascial function and the ancient Chinese meridians thrilling. I’m delighted to be sharing this method with the Ottawa community.”
