    • Decreased lower back pain, nausea, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches and shortness of breath
     
    In this 4 week series we will use meditation and practice yoga postures to strengthen and relax your changing body. We will explore different breath and focus techniques that are supportive for birthing and learn how to modify postures before and after baby arrives. Each session ends with a well-deserved relaxation, and is appropriate for new and experienced Yoga students.

    Working from home? Spending a lot of time at the computer or your phone?
     
    We spend a lot of time looking down at our computer screens, tablets and mobile devices. This can lead to a syndrome called Tech Neck.
     
    Stiffness or pain in the neck, tension in the shoulders and general ache in your upper body are all symptoms of Tech Neck. Join Anne Wanda Tessier (E-RYT 500) for an online 90 minute workshop where you will learn what happens to your neck and spine overtime when you sit at the computer or regularly use tech devices.
     
    We will learn how stress and strain affects the spine and the nervous system over time. You will learn some exercises and tips to alleviate neck strain, and explore restorative poses to relieve neck and shoulder tension.

    This workshop is limited to 12 online participants in order for Anne to provide detailed feedback and address everyone's questions.

    Cost: $35.00 per person in advance, $40.00 per person day off.

    Note: Please have as many of the following props with you for the start of the workshop: 2 blankets, 1 bolster or thick pillow, a therapy ball or tennis ball, 2 blocks or thick books, a yoga strap or scarf, space near a wall.

    In-Person Sound Immersion

    Using sound as a form of healing dates back to ancient cultures. Records of using gongs have surfaced from as early as ancient Egyptian, Greek, and Roman times.
     
    A Gong Meditation, is a form of sound healing designed to offer:

    • relaxation;
    • emotional release;
    • pain relief.

    Participants lie down and get comfortable on their yoga mat in a yoga relaxation pose (savasana). As the teacher plays the gong or gongs, a disc-shaped percussion instrument, using a mallet, participants are invited to relax and to passively soak up the benefits of the sound and vibrations.
     
    Cost: PranaShanti Drop-In Fee, Class Package or Membership.  
     
    This class is limited to a maximum of 9 participants and is held in our warmly heated studio, the Body Room, with the lighting dimmed for a restful and restoring experience.
     
    Due to COVID-19, yoga blocks and bolsters are the only supplied props at this time. Please bring with you the additional props you require to rest comfortably for the 60 minute session. Dress comfortably and you may like to bring a blanket, cushion and eye pillow or cover.

    The full moon is a special time, especially for those who are following a yogic path, because it is an optimum time for clearing and balancing our mind and our energy.

    The moon is deeply and intimately connected with our mind and our thoughts. Meditation can help to cleanse feelings of agitation, and can even provide us with a great opportunity to let go of the mental or emotional baggage that has been weighing us down.

    Meditating at the full moon also help us to unleash our creativity, whether we are focused on specific creative projects or we need new ways of thinking about the problems and issues we are facing. This practice can help us to release old, stuck, energy that no longer serves us.

    During the class, we will clear our mind and balance our body’s chakras (energy centers) through a variety of Kundalini Yoga practices including breath work (pranayam), meditation, and a yoga nidra savasana (relaxation).

    Explore the healing power of vibrational sound with Tibetan Singing Bowls
     
    Sound healing is an effective and proven modality that uses vibrational sound to help reduce stress, alter consciousness and create a deep sense of peace, well being and better health.
     
    During our workshop you will experience Restorative and Yin Yoga to soothe the nervous system and stimulate the connective tissues through body nourishing postures using bolsters, blankets and eye pillows. Additionally, throughout the session you will experience sound cleansing at a cellular and auric level with the healing notes of Tibetan Singing Bowls as they are played in the studio room.
     
    This 90 minute workshop is limited to a maximum of 9 participants and is held in our warmly heated studio, the Body Room, with the lighting dimmed for a restful and balancing sound cleansing experience.

    Cost: $35.00 per person in advance, $40.00 per person day of.
     
    Note: Please bring your yoga mat and any additional props you require to rest comfortably. We are providing bolsters and blocks. You may like to bring an eye pillow or cover, a blanket and meditation cushion.
