    Healing Gong & Meditation Experience | In-Person

    Sunday, October 1st, 2:00pm - 3:15pm
    Healing Gong & Meditation Experience | In-Person
    In-Person Class

    "If you just allow your body and mind to rest, the healing will come by itself”. Thich Nhat Hanh

    Join us for an afternoon of deep relaxation and healing as you immerse yourself into the sound vibration of the Gong.

    The Gong is sometimes referred to as the instrument of healing. The incredible sound vibration of the Gong supports a deeper ability to relax, balances the nervous and glandular systems of the body, opens the Chakras to revitalize energy pathways, soothes emotional and physical pain, can even support an overall emotional transformation AND it just feels wonderful.

    In this world of rapid change, incredible stress and uncertainty, isolation and disconnection from our true self; taking time to rejuvenate and heal yourself in mind, body and soul is crucial.

    During our 75-minute practice, participants will engage in a warm up sequence of Kundalini inspired pranayama and physical movement, rest and rejuvenate to the sound current of the Gong and practice a healing meditation known as the Siri Gayatri Mantra - Ra Ma Da Sa, Sa Say So Hung.

    Cost: PranaShanti Drop-In, Class Package or Membership.  All levels and abilities welcome.

    Sustainable Motherhood: A Field Guide to Postpartum | In-Person
    In-Person Workshop

    This workshop will shift the conversation from baby and childbirth, to mama and post-birth, focusing on nourishing and supporting mothers in the often unrecognized and overlooked ‘fourth trimester’ of pregnancy.

    We will discuss the needs of mothers in the days following childbirth and how to deliberately prepare for this unique time, with as much thought and care as one may invest into pregnancy and birth.

    A ‘Field Guide to Postpartum’ is an invitation to slow down, be generous with yourself, thoughtful about what is allowed into your home and accepting of the many unique challenges to come.

    Participants will come away with recommendations and strategies to mindfully seek out the care they deserve after bringing a baby into the world, lower the toxic load in their homes and incorporate sustainable practices into their everyday lives.

    Cost: $40.00 per person in advance. $50.00 per person day of.

    Tea and light snacks will be offered.

    About Brittany:

    Brittany Webster is a sustainable entrepreneur and mother. She is passionate about bringing awareness to the choices we make, how we interact with our environment and what we allow into our homes and lives.

    With a background in Environmental Design and Art Conservation, Brittany created Consciously Curated Home to encourage others to seek out sustainable living alternatives, understand how our environment impacts our day-to-day lives and bring positive energy to those living spaces and the people that occupy them.

    Her hope for this workshop is to empower mothers and caregivers to make informed decisions and set the tone for how the period following childbirth will unfold.

    Whether this is your first child or fifth, or you are simply curious about how best to support someone during this time, A Field Guide to Postpartum will help identify and prioritize the needs of a mother during her fourth trimester.

    This is a theoretical and practical course that will include group discussions, personal reflection, practical exercises and practice teaching.

    We will review the basic blueprint of a Hatha Yoga practice and examine the following: different modalities by which students learn; how to manage time and set priorities when preparing classes of varying lengths and styles; how to create a safe and accessible physical space; how to hold space on a psychological and emotional level in order to create an environment for learning; and how to weave elements such as pranayama, mantras, meditation and mudras into yoga classes.

    We will also examine the nature of the Teacher/Student relationship, the importance of boundaries and our personal motives as a teacher and finally, we will examine how to cultivate a vibrant inner life, and why this is essential to being an effective yoga teacher.

    With some practice time, we will examine:

    • practical tools to create balanced and effective yoga classes;
    • how to create an environment for learning;
    • the nature of the Teacher/Student relationship and the importance of boundaries;
    • the value of, and how to cultivate a vibrant inner life.

    Full Moon Meditation for Clearing & Balance

    Sunday, October 29th, 9:30am - 10:45am
    Full Moon Meditation for Clearing & Balance

    The full moon is a special time, especially for those who are following a yogic path, because it is an optimum time for clearing and balancing our mind and our energy.

    The moon is deeply and intimately connected with our mind and our thoughts. Meditation can help to cleanse feelings of agitation, and can even provide us with a great opportunity to let go of the mental or emotional baggage that has been weighing us down.

    Meditating at the full moon also help us to unleash our creativity, whether we are focused on specific creative projects or we need new ways of thinking about the problems and issues we are facing. This practice can help us to release old, stuck, energy that no longer serves us.

    During the class, we will clear our mind and balance our body’s chakras (energy centers) through a variety of Kundalini Yoga practices including breath work (pranayam), meditation, and a yoga nidra savasana (relaxation).
