The College of Massage Therapists is in the process of updating operational guidelines.
In the meantime, we are getting ready for when the time comes to be able to offer our services again. Procedures will change a bit and we will be keeping everyone informed as to when we can start offering appointments again.
Looking forward to seeing you in the Centre soon!
Achieving optimum wellness is as important to your daily routine as your practice of yoga. Bodywork, private classes, and coaching can support your emotional and physical wellness.
Registered Massage Therapy:
Massages with our talented Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) are a peaceful and practical blend of targeted and relaxing bodywork. All RMT treatments include a detailed assessment and receipts for insurance purposes.
Deep Tissue – A highly therapeutic massage that works on the deeper layers of tension. Combined with Swedish techniques, focused massage is applied to deeper muscle and connective tissue to relieve chronic pain and tension. Ideal for those who have specific concerns, high stress levels, and athletes.
Swedish Massage – A longstanding successful technique focused on manipulation of soft tissue-muscle, ligaments, tendons, connective tissue and joint capsules. Ideal for relaxing tense muscle, easing stress and tension, pain, and improving sleep.
Pregnancy Massage – Specialized body positioning techniques will ensure maximum comfort. Pregnancy massage is used to improve circulation, and alleviate backaches, legs cramps, and swelling that often accompany pregnancy.
Treatments with additional services included:
Cupping Massage – A technique where the therapist applies suction cups to the skin which draws up the underlying tissues, blood and lymphatic fluid. It has been found to affect the body up to 4 inches into the tissues. This allows space for freshly oxygenated blood to rush into the layers below, relieving adhesions and metabolic stagnation. It can have lasting effects on deep tissues, fascial restrictions, the movement of fluids, and in increasing ranges of motion. Same fee as RMT massage.
Hot Stone Massage – A deeply relaxing full-body massage treatment using heated basalt stones. The hot stones release muscle tension while a blend of oils melts away stress and relax the tightest of muscles.
Aroma Massage – Registered Massage Therapy treatment incorporating an essential oil blend of your choice.
Reiki Massage – Registered Massage Therapy treatment incorporating Reiki.
Compassionate Touch Massage – Registered Massage Therapy with Hot stones, Aromatherapy, Reiki, Breathwork and sometimes Guided Mediation. Compassionate Touch massage therapy treatments are covered by extended health benefits and can be offered as Relaxation, Therapeutic or Deep Tissue.
NOTE: Massages with Sarah Allen, RMT, include some use of Hot Stones therefore you do not need to book Hot Stone Massage for her massages unless you would like more focus on Hot Stones.
