Pam’s passion is to teach the true meaning of yoga with a balance of strengthening and stretching and connecting with yourself. Linking each movement with the breath, Pam transforms your practice to movement meditation. While maintaining that the breath is the only required pose, she focuses on anatomy and sequences her classes to a peak pose, allowing for a safe yet challenging progression in your personal practice.

Fitness and healthy eating have always been a big part of her life. Her love for yoga developed after suffering from a neck injury in 2005 and recovering by taking regular yoga classes of all styles. Experiencing a life-changing strength in body, mind, and spirit led her to teach yoga to share all its benefits. After an eight year career as an engineer in high-tech, followed by seven years as a stay-at-home-Mom, she now teaches yoga full-time. Pam believes that with determination, patience, and practice we can overcome our obstacles and move forward to find true happiness.

Pam completed her Hatha Yoga teacher training in Ottawa and her Yin Yoga training with Joe Barnett.  She is also a certified Reiki Master, offering private Reiki sessions at PranaShanti, and loves sharing her knowledge of energy in her classes. Pam is honoured and grateful to continually further her studies with her teachers in the Ottawa area and beyond, learning daily from her students first and foremost!
