Solange is a bilingual teacher and student of yoga, meditation and mindfulness. She teaches traditional Sivananda Hatha (200 hours), Vinyasa flow (200 hours), Yin(30hours), Pre-postnatal and children’s yoga amongst other practices.
She has been teaching for over 4 years, practicing for 6 and she describes all the various yoga practices (postures, breathwork, meditation and positive thinking) as a medicine for the mind and body, which literally changed and saved her life!
She loves offering a safe and inclusive space for individuals. Allowing them to BE in the present moment and live their practice on and off the mat whatever that looks for them.
Solange found the practice of yoga in her early 20s kind by accident, escaping the Canadian winter and leaving a toxic long-term relationship behind, she left to a yoga centre which happened to be in an ashram! This is where her spiritual healing journey truly began. She stayed a total of 4 months and since then, she shares her love for this way of living with others through yoga, meditation, awareness and mindfulness!
Prior to being a teacher of yoga, Solange was a mental health and drug addictions counsellor working in various homeless shelters and detox centres in Ottawa/Gatineau.
Living with her own addiction issues at the time she left that field, onto her healing journey, which led her to where she is today! In her classes, you can find a well-rounded balance of spirituality, physicality and everything in between!
