Christine’s first traditional hatha yoga class, a practice based on ancient yogic teachings derived from the Sivananda Saraswati lineage was very transformational. Even though she had been practicing different styles of yoga that focused mostly on yoga postures for many years, her inner experience became much more powerful and personal when she found herself in a classical hatha yoga class that included mantra, asana, pranayama, relaxation and meditation.
This experience sparked the desire to undertake the 200 hour Teacher Training Course, the 300 hour Advanced TTC, as well as the 95 hour Kids & Teens YTT with the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres. From 2015-2019, Christine spent many seasons with ISYVC as karma yoga staff teaching yoga classes, courses & workshops, assisting yoga teacher trainings & kids yoga camps at their ashrams & yoga centres in Vietnam, New York, India, Québec & Chicago.
Along with her enthusiasm for classical hatha yoga, Christine is a dedicated vipassana meditator who has participated in 10-day vipassana meditation courses in various parts of the world. She has also completed two mindfulness courses and guides children and teens through several mindfulness exercises to help them develop their hearts and minds. In 2017, she started practicing Iyengar Yoga at the Himalayan Iyengar Centre in Dharamshala, India where she has taken part in the 5-day courses and the 160 hour Pranic Healing Intensive Course. Additionally, she is a certified Yin Yoga teacher and is continuously inspired by how this practice helps cultivate equanimity.
Christine is a devoted practitioner who acknowledges the importance of honoring the roots of yoga and sharing this ancient practice in a balanced, inclusive and accessible way so that all humans can connect to the peace that resides within. It is through her yogic studies and personal experiences with yoga & meditation that motivates her to guide you, in the hope to make the world a more peaceful place.
