Achieving optimum wellness is as important to your daily routine as your practice of yoga. Bodywork, private classes, and coaching can support your emotional and physical wellness.
Acupuncture is part of a 2,500 year old science of natural healing called Traditional Chinese Medicine and is recognized by the World Health Organization as an effective form of natural health care for many conditions, including stress, anxiety & depression, headaches/migraines, neck pain, digestive issues and so much more.
It is believed to affect or stimulate the central nervous system by allowing the release of endorphins and other naturally occurring chemicals and hormones that affect pain perception, mood, and overall health. It is also known to promote an increase in blood flow as well as help decrease the concentration of cholesterol in blood which many find elevating to the spirit.
Acupuncture works through activation points along twelve primary meridian pathways that flow throughout the body, covering all major areas of the torso, arms and legs. When these pathways are stimulated with acupuncture, it ensures an even flow of ‘chi’ (energy) to positively affects the bones, muscles and connective tissues. This energy is thought to provide these tissues with the vitality and motive force they need to do their functions like waste elimination, repair, and growth, allowing for a healthy system.
