    Hi there,

I am interested in the self-paced “300 Hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training” program that is now open for registration, but I don’t know whether I am even qualified. I am currently enrolled in the level one Kundalini yoga teacher training, which completes in May. That will make me a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYS) at the 200hr-level. Do I need to take a level one hatha yoga teaching course first? If the course does not complete till May, do I need to wait for another year?

Thanks! I am trying to figure out whether I should even come to the information session or not!

Hi Paul, thanks for your interest in PranaShanti Yoga Centre’s 300 Hour HYTT. We are looking into your query and will be in touch with you as soon as more information is available from Yoga Alliance.

Hello Paul – thank you for your patience. I contacted the Yoga Alliance, and you’re welcome to register for the 300 Hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training (HYTT). The Centre can accept participants from a 200 Hour program of any lineage, and you could ultimately certify at the 500 Hour level because all training happened at a Registered Yoga School (RYS). If you’d like to begin now, the 300 Hour HYTT can be completed concurrently with your Kundalini training. Please join us for an Information Session on January 15 or 28!
