Sarah’s intention is to create a positive space where students can cultivate an energetic and supported practice. Her classes are gentle yet strongly delivered with clear and concise instruction, focusing on breath and physical alignment. She encourages her students to practice all types of movement, including going upside down and balancing on their arms.
She is particularly drawn to the power yoga style and enjoys its positive, uplifting energy. Every practice, students are encouraged to move slowly, staying present to their breath. During more challenging postures, students are encouraged to be playful, moving with ease, learning to let the body invite you forward.
Sarah completed her 200 hour teacher training studying power yoga with Laurie Howe and Ichih Wang in 2011. She completed a second training in Ashtanga yoga with David Swenson in 2012. Amazed at how the gentle practice of yoga can be so challenging physically and mentally, she continues to practice everyday and deepen her understanding of yoga’s long history.
