Over the last decade of teaching, Jennifer has drawn upon countless workshops and trainings in Kundalini, Vinyasa, Anusara, Yin, Children’s, Prenatal, and even Laughter Yoga. Teaching pre-natal at PranaShanti, she is passionate about supporting moms-to-be, and helping new parents create connections amongst each other, and calm within to help them parent with confidence and compassion. She believes that a consistent yoga practice enriches your daily life and restores the natural harmony between body, mind, and spirit. Jennifer provides students with a refuge and the tools needed to release physical stress, settle their minds, and open their hearts to feel love and compassion towards themselves and their communities.
Jennifer’s role as a teacher has been evolving since her teenage years, while working at outdoor camps and community centres. She discovered yoga while studying for her Bachelor of Education in Phys. Ed, with concentrations in Women and Religious Studies, as well as Psychology, at McGill University in Montreal. In the fall of 2001, she completed her initial teacher training in Ashtanga and Babaji’s Kriya Hatha Yoga.
Throughout her career as an educator and a mother, teaching and practicing yoga has remained an essential part of her life. Being a lifelong learner herself, she continuously strives to deepen her understanding of spirituality, philosophy and yoga practice to keep her classes as fresh and meaningful as possible.
