    Experience a fusion of yin yoga + sound + scent to bring you into greater connection with your body and breath.
     
    When the days grow shorter and cooler, it gives us an opportunity to turn inwards and connect on a deeper level. In this practice, live gong and crystal bowl sounds will allow you to release tension and soothe your nervous system. The vibrational nature of the gong is a re-aligning and dynamic experience.
     
    Yin yoga is practiced passively with longer held poses (3-5 minutes) mainly focused on the lower body. In the body, yin is represented by the stiffer connective tissues (ligaments, tendons and fascia) and joints. Energetically, yin is stable, solid and balancing.
     
    Essential oils work on many levels to shift your mood, physiological processes and your health. Seasonally fitting oils will be used aromatically and topically to support your physical and mental health.

    Cat will expertly guide you through an all-levels yin practice and educate you about essential oils and Devinder will work her magic on the vibrational instruments.
     
    This practice will allow you to open your body and mind and you will leave feeling more balanced and at ease into your life.

    LoveYourBrain is a non-profit organization that aims to improve the quality of life of people affected by traumatic brain injury—from concussion to severe injury—through programs that build community.
     
    The LoveYourBrain Yoga Program supports people who have experienced a TBI and their caregivers to participate in community-based gentle yoga and meditation classes tailored to their needs.
     
    We believe that everyone should have an opportunity to improve and restore their physical and emotional wellbeing through these practices. LoveYourBrain is the message that embodies our positive approach to brain injury prevention and recovery. Everything LYB does is about connecting, educating and empowering people to promote a brain healthy lifestyle.

    Meditating at the time of the New Moon intensifies our intentions and makes it an ideal time to focus on prosperity (personal and business) and abundance using the energy of the New Moon combined with Kundalini Yoga kriyas and meditations. Prosperity and abundance come in many forms. 
     
    When one’s internal attitude is out of alignment, it doesn’t matter what that person has or doesn’t have in the material world.  When we connect with an internal attitude of prosperity, we become like a magnet. The abundance of the universe flows to us.
     
    Our class includes breath work (pranayam), a short yoga set (kriya) for awareness, a prosperity meditation followed by a deep relaxation (savasana) in the celestial sounds and vibrations of two Gongs.

    For people from all levels of fitness and walks of life suffering from extreme stress. No previous experience necessary. Also extremely useful for medical practitioners, therapists, and yoga teachers who want to incorporate this work into their healing repertoire.

    Course Description
     
    We currently have a worldwide epidemic of stress and anxiety that is stifling our happiness, creativity, and intimacy. Max Strom will reveal his core principles of breathingand movement patterns to alleviate anxiety, PTSD, depression, and sleep disorder based on his two decades of teaching and his in-depth knowledge of Hatha Yoga and QI Gong.
     
    Many of our emotional challenges are due to being taught socially from a very young age to suppress and numb our feelings, leaving us carrying a silo of emotions in our chest of un-reconciled and unexpressed emotions. Using breathing patterns for 20 minutes daily, as taught by Max Strom, can bring us back to a peaceful and calm state as well as gift us with insight and knowledge that was buried along with our feelings.
     
    With this new insight we are empowered to make new and meaningful life decisions. In just a few short days you will feel the difference and have the knowledge to help you transform your internal state, prevent future anxiety, and help others to do so.

    About Max:

    When we practice Kundalini yoga during these times we deepen our experience of interconnectedness with self, the environment and all of life.

    Our bodies respond to the seasons and reflect the patterns and energies of the time. By harnessing these powerful energies of the Autumn Equinox, Winter Solstice, Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice we can prepare our bodies, minds and souls for the new season and new growth. As we raise our conscious awareness we flow and attune to the higher vibrations needed as we enter the Aquarian Age.

    Each change of season gives us the opportunity to review life with gratitude for what the season has given us, and establish our intentions for the next. We want to assist you to be mindful of using nature as a resource to guide your lives. These workshops will assist you in using these precious times wisely.

    Using the teachings of Yogi Bhajan and others, we will explore emotional, chakra and spiritual health. The workshop will combine Kundalini yoga, gong bathing, and creative exploration through art, music, dance and nature.

    The energetic power of the winter solstice will help to access emotions and recognize underlying patterns that are not aligned with the love and truth of the soul. We will facilitate the use of this dark time to explore limiting patterns and their release.

    The full moon is a special time, especially for those who are following a yogic path, because it is an optimum time for clearing and balancing our mind and our energy.

    The moon is deeply and intimately connected with our mind and our thoughts. Meditation can help to cleanse feelings of agitation, and can even provide us with a great opportunity to let go of the mental or emotional baggage that has been weighing us down.

    Meditating at the full moon also help us to unleash our creativity, whether we are focused on specific creative projects or we need new ways of thinking about the problems and issues we are facing. This practice can help us to release old, stuck, energy that no longer serves us.

    During the class, we will clear our mind and balance our body’s chakras (energy centers) through a variety of Kundalini Yoga practices including breath work (pranayam), meditation, visualization, setting intentions, and a restorative sound bath with the symphonic Gong.
